Rhode Island National Guard Epoxy Flooring
Challenge
This project needs to be done quickly with minimal facility interruptions.
The staff was able to work weekends and late as well as overtime to make sure the project got done on time with minimal interruptions to the customer and their staff.
Solution
The customer came to us having a military repair installation that had flaking coating in their repair shop as well as their hallway space.
We were able to fully remove all coating.
Repair small concrete and cracks and install a new epoxy coating system that will withstand 20 to 30,000 LB vehicles as well as foot traffic throughout the military installation.
Once the surface is prepared, Elast-o-coat and NO-Sag #1 will be applied to all joints and cracks. A moisture-mitigating primer will then be installed to prevent future issues. This will be followed by the application of an intermediate coat and a top coat using the Duraflex epoxy system. The coating will feature Dur-a-gard in medium grey and bright yellow, enhanced with a Superstick additive for improved adhesion. To complete the system, an Armor Top gloss finish will be applied, incorporating Part C grit and Dur-a-grip for added traction and durability.
